Martín Piñeiro Suárez was born in Ourense, Spain, in 1997.
He received his B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) in 2020. His Bachelor's thesis, focused on "Bimetallic Cu/Pd Catalysis for the 'One-Pot' Synthesis of Tamoxifen", was developed at the Centro Singular de Investigación en Química Biolóxica e Materiais Moleculares (CiQUS) under the supervision of Prof. Martín Fañanás Mastral.

He subsequently completed his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry in 2021, carrying out the project "Asymmetric Assembly of Multifunctional Molecules via Enantioselective Copper Catalysis" under the same supervision.

He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Science and Technology from CiQUS-USC in 2026. His doctoral thesis, entitled "Catalytic Strategies for Borylative Cross-Couplings of Allenes with Allylic Electrophiles", was also supervised by Prof. Martín Fañanás-Mastral.
