Mireia Pujol Marti was born in L'Aldea, Spain, in 1999.
She received her B.S. in Chemistry from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) in 2021.
Her Bachelor's project focused on the activation of diborylalkenes using a Cu(I) catalyst toward C-C coupling under the supervision of Prof. Elena Fernández.
She subsequently completed the URV-ICIQ Master's in Synthesis, Catalysis and Molecular Design, where she carried out the project "Site-Selective (Z)-α-Borylalkenyl Copper Systems for Nucleophilic Stereodefined Allylic Coupling" under the supervision of Prof. Elena Fernández.
She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in 2026.
Her doctoral thesis, entitled "Gem-diboryl synthons: unlocking new pathways towards medicinal chemistry-relevant building blocks", was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Elena Fernández and Dr. María Méndez (Sanofi, Frankfurt).
